Have you seen this Website yet?  It’s called GeoSimPhilly.  It’s a virtual 3-D Philadelphia!  “GeoSim compiles gigabytes of aerial photos, street images, laser scans and geodetic measurements of Philadelphia to build an accurate 3D city model, capable of providing a genuine life simulation of the physical streets, buildings and urban landscape with the “look and feel” of a real city.” I’m pretty amazed by it and wonder what software they used to create it.

Microdesk Orange

The Microdesk logo changed back at the beginning of the year. We ditched the royal blue and in its place we’ve adopted a bright happy orange! I love it! I am happy to report that last week we finally updated our Philadelphia office to the new color scheme! We also got a brand new sign! Check it out!

Civil-minded

Have you heard that Autodesk has just released a new product? It’s called Civil and it is a scaled down version of Civil 3D. What’s it missing? Stormwater Analysis, Map3D and Land Desktop Companion. The pricing is more in tune with the Revit Suite of products. So, if you want to make the jump to a civil product and Civil 3D just seemed like too much, now you have a product just for you! Groovy!
